Martin is Special Advisor to International Schools Partnership Limited, Director of Education and Learning International Schools Partnership (ISP) and Director of WCL Group which was formed as the result of a merger between Fieldwork Education (which he co-founded) and Education Overseas Ltd which had begun to develop schools in the US.
He was a Board member of WCL from 2002 and contributed to the development of the Group, including its sale to Sovereign Capital 2008 and then to Nord Anglia Education in 2013.
Operationally, he was responsible for helping schools in the US, Europe and The Middle East to develop astonishing levels of student learning and led the way in which they connected with parents and others. Working with colleagues, he led the development of the International Primary Curriculum and Looking for Learning and co-led the development of the International Middle Years Curriculum.
He was also founder and owner of Fieldwork Education Ltd, which quickly developed a significant reputation providing ground-breaking support to schools and organisations around the focus on learning, providing consultancy and management services and protocols to schools in the UK and around the world. At the same time, he created 'Primary File Publishing, providing subscription resources to more than 8000 schools and 'Fieldwork Online Learning', which provided professional development to schools online.
