The internet and the social media revolution have changed how we all source information. For many students these days dealing with the plethora of information available, we know that they take shortcuts and quite often take the first piece of evidence presented. Here we look at how easy it is to make mistakes with wrong information.
In this workshop, we will do a range of activities and explore ideas that connect concepts and allow teachers to expand on topics in ways that interest and motivate students. Critical thinking is important, but so is filtering information. Here we learn how each works efficiently and how best to employ those tasks in a lesson. This workshop suits teachers of language and humanities.
